Graco Strollers Recalled After 5 Fingertip Amputations

About 1.5 million Graco strollers sold at Wal-Mart, Target and other major retailers are being recalled after some children's fingertips were amputated by hinges on the products. The recall by Graco Children's Products Inc. includes certain model numbers of its Passage, Alano and Spree Strollers and Travel Systems. The Atlanta company received seven reports of children placing their fingers in a stroller's canopy hinge as the canopy was being opened or closed. 400,000 Simplicity Cribs Recalled

400,000 baby cribs have been recalled for fear that infants and children may get trapped in the large space that is created when the side is dropped and suffocate. Recall: 96,000 Cribs

For third time, cribs made by Jardine Enterprises, are being recalled because of slats that break. This time 96,000 more cribs have been added to the list of those that could trap or strangle  a baby. The affected units include two models of Drop-Side Natural Olympia Single cribs. The products were sold at stores including Toys "R" Us and KidsWorld from September 2005 through this month, and were priced between $220 and $330. Children’s Flip Flops Recalled

About 210,000 children's flip flops, made in Brazil by Alpargatas USA Inc., of New York, have been recalled by the CPSC. The reason: decorative paint on the sole of the flip flops can contain high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children. No incidents or injuries have been reported.The flip flops were sold between November of 2006 through February of 2009 at different stores, for $15 to $24 a pair. … [Read more...]

Evenflo is recalling 256,000 of its ExerSaucer Triple Fun Stationary Activity Centers because of a risk of injuries.When used as an activity table, a cap on one end of the recalled ExerSaucer Triple Fun activity center can loosen and fall off, posing a fall hazard to a young child leaning or pulling up on the end cap.Evenflo has received 11 reports of dislodged end caps on the ExerSaucer Triple Fun activity centers that resulted in nine minor injuries, including scratches and bruises. … [Read more...]

The CPSC announces the recall of more than 1,000,000 Stork Craft baby cribs. The cribs were sold in multiple U.S. stores throughout the country including Kmart, Wal-Mart and J.C.
