Blog Hopping: A Very Persistent Little Girl
By KatieBBA ContributorSavannah is a very persistent little girl. Once she gets her mind on something, she isn't easily distracted! Unfortunately, like most babies, she isn't very coordinated! I can only imagine the struggle that occurred as she was trying to get her arm out of her shirt. Unfortunately, I wasn't there to witness it, I found her like this when I went to get her out of bed this morning. She's obviously quite proud!Send us your funny/memorable blog posts and video clips. Blog Hopping: One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
By SherylBBA ContributorNanny and Soon-to-Be MomThis week I've noticed a slight improvement in how tired I am. I can now make it through the day without a nap. I'd still really like one, but it's not so vital anymore. The bad news is that because I don't just fall into bed at night anymore, it's harder for me to get to sleep.Last night I went to bed at 10:30 and didn't get to sleep until after 1:00. I got up every 10 - 15 minutes to pee, and every time it was as if I hadn't just gone. It was very annoying and I would have just slept on the toilet if I could have gotten comfortable. I was tired … [Read more...]
Blog Hopping: Digital Cameras at Show-and-Tell
By Pamela HiltonBBA ContributorDuring my time as a preschool teacher, I would have show and tell on Fridays. This was a time for the children to bring in toys from home to show their classmates, and then everyone would have an opportunity to share their toys with each other. I was surprised to see several of the kids bring in real digital cameras for show and tell. But as I inspected these digital cameras, I realized the genius behind them. For starters, the design of the cameras was brilliant. They were heavy, sturdy, and brightly colored. They featured wide handles on either side and had only … [Read more...]
Blog Hopping: Toe Lickin’ Good
By CarlaBBA ContributorWe all went out to Brian's employers' 20th anniversary picnic today. The theme was Harry Potter, so they had cool things going on. There were owls, falcons, a fortune teller and a magic show. They also played quittage (non-flying of course), people came dressed in costumes and the decorations were cool.It has rained a ton here the last week and some of the country roads were flooded. There was one place I got out to test how high the water was before we drove over it because we could not see the road - crazy. The farm where the picnic was held was pretty wet. They tried … [Read more...]

Blog Hopping: Perfect Babies
By EmmaBBA ContributorDon’t you just hate the parents of those perfect babies? You know, the ones that sleep through the night, eat without making a mess, never have bad days, smile all the time and quietly play on their own with their little toys.Don’t you just hate the people that say to you: “Your baby is waking up for feeds at night? Oh, that’s awful, you poor thing - at this age he must sleep through!”And how about the people who say: “By this age he must be able to sit upright and feed himself with a spoon, my children did!”Well, news flash – my baby has no idea about … [Read more...]
Going Green with Triplets
By Jennifer JordanBBA ContributorWith Triplets we've had to cut down on our spending. A LOT. It made no sense for me to return to work after having the babies; what I made would have ONLY paid for daycare for Triplets. Living off of one income is hard. Very hard. Money was always an issue, just not a big one. Two miscarriages, TONS of testing, five months of fertility treatments, triplets and one income later, it matters now more than anything. The two miscarriages and fertility treatments really racked up our bills. While looking into how to cut our costs, I found out Going Green was the way … [Read more...]
Surviving the First Year with Triplets
By RachaelBBA ContributorI am proud to say that we survived our first year with triplets. Although the individual moments were often less than graceful, it has been one incredible and amazing journey. During my pregnancy, I spent four weeks on bedrest at home, then was admitted to the hospital where I spent the remaining eight weeks until delivery day.Needless to say, The Peaches (as we so lovingly call them) were born under an umbrella of fear and apprehension - especially since two of the three were in distress due to complications from Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. When they made the … [Read more...]
