For our busy youngsters it can be difficult to focus on auditory (sounds we hear) information when they are playing with toys and/or engaged in activities.
Here’s what I recommend:
- Try walking closer to your child and getting down to his/her eye level.
- Make sure your child is looking at you before you begin to give the direction or ask the question.
- Speak slowly. Speak simply.
