We would get everyone in their jammies and feed them dinner, then hit the road. We would take shifts sleeping/driving. Helped us get through the 12hr drive from IL to NOLA. Now I think we'll have to plan on flying and renting a car... I cannot imagine driving from NYC to NOLA with kids. We used to do it in 2 days in our pre children/honeymooner days... but now.. eeek!
